FUNCTION/PURPOSE

In this moderately supervised position, the incumbent must write, edit, revise, restructure and/or eliminate web content as determined in discussion and with direction from managing director, content managers and content owners. The incumbent must maintain timely, relevant and accurate content and postings for three organizational websites: main General Board site; CCPI and Health Center sites. Incumbent will oversee scheduled and ad-hoc reviews, make approved edits and post content as needed. The Webmaster will work with the IT department and American Eagle (our web host) to ensure functionality and timely posting of content with as little interruption as possible, assuring content adheres to established corporate standards.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate among managing director, content managers and content owners to ensure that timely, relevant and accurate content is maintained on the organization’s websites.
• Knowledge of HTML coding and content design.
• Technical intermediary between the Communications department and IT, and primary contact with Web Host, in coordinating and posting content on websites.
• Program website visuals and content.
• Train content managers in daily operations and skills necessary to maintain successful website content.
• Write and edit new content; revise, restructure and/or eliminate existing web content
• Analyze Web traffic to determine effectiveness of the organization’s web presence and specific content.
